Position Purpose
The role of the Virology Manager in the Biological Products Manufacturing Unit is to independently and as directed plan and oversee the large-scale production of various viral antigens of veterinary importance using traditional egg based and established cell line viral propagation methods for vaccine production as per Deltamune’s Standard Operating Procedure.

Qualifications:
- MSc/PhD in Virology/Microbiology
Knowledge / Experience:
- Advanced virology or microbiology knowledge and laboratory techniques experience – min of 10 years
- Commercial scale production experience required
- Sterile bioprocessing experience in vaccines/biologicals production environment preferable
- Ability to plan prioritise and organise efficiently
- Time management skills
- Personnel Management skills
- SOP writing skills

- Analytical
- Foster and maintain professional and technical networks nationally and internationally
- Ability to forecast new technology, current and emerging trends
